ORegon Surgery Center is an ambulatory care center owned by, and on the campus of, Mercy Medical Center. It serves between 7,000 and 8,000 patients annually, both for outpatient surgical procedures and endoscopies.
The center is equipped with PACS to maximize communication and efficiency. In addition, the ORSC operating rooms include the Image Guidance Navigation System for complex sinus surgery cases. This real-time, 3-dimensional imaging system allows for safer surgery in the tight space of the ethmoid sinuses adjacent to the eyes.
ORSC is also participating in the community-wide effort, led by Douglas County Individual Practice Association, Inc., (DCIPA), to convert to the electronic health record.
